GOTHAM EARLY MUSIC SCENE (GEMS) is an organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of early music in New York City. It serves professional and amateur performers and ensembles, presenters, audiences and enthusiasts. Allan Kozinn of The New York Times wrote that GEMS will bring "cohesiveness and vitality to the city's patchwork of early-music groups."

APAP SHOWCASE 2009
Six Fabulous Ensembles
We are once again hosting a showcase concert as part of the giant Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) national conference held annually in New York City. This year we have four of New York City's top groups performing (Repast, Western Wind, Asteria, and East of the River). In addition to this exciting line-up, the lute/voice duo Morrongiello & Young and vocal quartet & lute ensemble, Good Pennyworths (both represented by Nancy Carlin Associates) will perform. With programs ranging from medieval to Renaissance to baroque to Balkan, this is an evening not to miss.
