Extracting Names from the Big List

 New York City Big List
How to Extract Names from the Big List

Quantity Allowed
Each organization in the NYC Big List is allowed to extract the total number of names submitted to the Big List times the number of organizations in the Big List.  This quantity can be split into as many mailings as needed over the course of the year.

Turnaround Time
When ordering a list from the NYC Big List, please allow at least 48 hours for list turnaround time.  More complex list selections may require additional processing time.

What Enertex Needs to Know When You Order a List
For any list selection from the NYC Big List, Enertex needs the following basic information:

-Name of mailing and when you plan to mail

-Qty of names you need

-Geographic area requested (SCF’s or zipcodes)

-Lists Requested (keycodes and list names from the Big List merge/purge report)

-Include or exclude names that crossover with your own house list

-Mailshop email address to send the final list

Multibuyers vs. Unique Names
On the GEMS merge/purge report, you will see three columns on the far right hand side: Unique Names Out, Multi Names Out, and Total Names Out.  The Multi Names Out are names identified as multibuyers, names that appear on multiple lists in the database.  These names are often good prospects for mailing as they are already known buyers to multiple events.  Multibuyers can be selected by list, geography (SCF or zip code), and by frequency of attendance (2X, 3X, 4X), etc.

Unique Names Out are names that appear on one list and one list only.  If there’s a particular group you’d like to target for your mailing, using that group’s unique and multi names would be a good option when selecting lists.

Total Names Out are the total names on each list after deduping with every list in the database.  If you add the Unique Names Out and Multi Names Out columns together, they will equal the Total Names Out.

List Crossover Report
Each organization receives a list crossover report for each list submitted to the Big List.  This report shows the number of names on your list that crossover with every other list in the Big List.  The list crossover report is a good tool to use for selecting list segments.  The higher the crossover quantity and percentage with another list, the better that list should work for your organization.  The report headings represent:

Key-The 2 or 3 digit code Enertex assigns to each list in the Big List.  This code is used to order lists and will be output on each record on the final list selected so that names can be tracked back to their source.

List Name-The list segment name, also used on the merge/purge report.

M/P Input-The total number of names on each list submitted to the Big List.

Cross-Over Input-The number of names being used to determine cross-over on each list.  This number represents the total number of names submitted, minus any bad records or intrafile dupes.

Cross-Over Quantity-This is the number of names on each list segment that also appear on the BASE LIST.  The BASE LIST is the list segment from your organization that is being used for cross-over analysis in your individual report.

Cross-Over Percentage-The percentage of crossover on each list with the BASE LIST.  This percentage is calculated by dividing the cross-over quantity by the cross-over input.
