Past Events - The Play of Daniel

GEMS in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art produced a gala 50th-anniversary re-staging of the 12th-century music drama The Play of Daniel, commemorating the pioneering 1958 production by The New York Pro Musica under the direction of Noah Greenberg, We worked closely with Music Director Mary Anne Ballard, Stage Director Drew Minter, and Museum Educator Nancy Wu. Four sold-out performances were given at The Cloisters on December 20 and 21, 2008.
