Visionary director Martha Clarke brings Hieronymus Bosch's provocative painting to life in Garden of Earthly Delights, exploring heaven, hell, and the beauty and sins in between.  An inspired synthesis of visual and performing magic, the breathtaking flight of imaginative genius is sexy, evocative, and unlike anything you've ever seen on stage.  There's no way it can be described in words; visit their website to see video clips and photos.

See below for getting tickets at the special discounted price!
Using state-of-the-art aerial devices created by the "Flying by Foy" workshop (known for decades for everything from Mary Martin's "Peter Pan" to "Billy Elliot"), Martha Clarke takes you on a journey from creation through Eden, earthly existence, damnation and redemption.

The current revival of "The Garden of Earthly Delights" at the Minetta Lane Theater has earned
rave reviews and extended its run twice.  Of interest to our community is the production's use of a wide variety of early instruments played by internationally renowned musician Wayne Hankin.  Among the featured performers, Wayne is a virtuoso early music artist known to many in the New York early music community from his work with Early Music/New York and Cirque du Soleil.

Wayne has arranged a special event for GEMS subscribers and guests: a post-performance talk with Ms. Clarke, himself, and other cast members following the Wednesday, March 18th show.  You are invited to attend at a special discount price, part of which will be a donation to GEMS!
