ARTEK, America's premier ensemble performing 17th century music, will present a selection of madrigals by Claudio Monteverdi from Book 4 and 5. The program includes some of his greatest a cappella madrigal masterpieces from both books as well as several of the brilliant accompanied madrigals introduced in Book 5. ARTEK's singers, all recognized virtuoso soloists, together form a superb ensemble that delivers as one singer the passion and drama of Monteverdi's music.
