268 edited motomi 2 LargeThe Nymphs of the Rhine is a one of Johannes Schenck's signature compositions.
These duets for violas da gamba were published at beginning of the
18th century in Amsterdam, at a time when national styles from France,
Italy, and England began to meld together in the Low Countries. The
sounds of the two violas da gamba will transport the New Amsterdam
audience back to Old Amsterdam with mesmerizing tranquility.
