Le Poisson Rouge is a multimedia art cabaret founded by musicians on the site of the historic Village Gate. Dedicated to the fusion of popular and art cultures in music, film, theater, dance, and fine art, the venue's mission is to revive the symbiotic relationship between art and revelry; to establish a creative asylum for both artists and audiences.

Uncommon Temperament
A quintet of young virtuoso players dedicated to a historically
accurate, yet enthusiastic and organic approach.
Soloists from the Clarion Music Society
One of the first period instrument orchestras in New York, performing unknown
repertoire from the court of Catherine the Great.
East of the River
A bridge between early and world music, this ensemble performs traditional and medieval
 music from the Balkans, Armenia and beyond.

Flying Forms
A young baroque ensemble with expertise in
chamber music, opera, and dance.
Cantori New York
The critically-acclaimed chamber choir performing Catalonian ensaladas, complete with
vocal sound effects, battle cries, and raucous exclamations.
Four Nations Ensemble
An established baroque quartet offering a sampling of Preludes, Passacaglias, Sarabandes
and Tambourins by French composer Jean Marie Leclair.

Ensemble Viscera
A group full of baroque guitars, voices and verve, presenting the racy
music of the jácara from 17th-century Spain.
Brooklyn Baroque
A baroque trio specializing in music by Bach and his contemporaries.
New York Baroque Dance Company
Music and dance by the venerable company led by
Catherine Turocy and James Richman.
