German Extravaganza.concentus facebook

After The Thirty Years' War, German cities started a competition of importing culture from Italy and France. The greatest composers of the high baroque period in Germany were all admirers of French and Italian music. They composed the chamber sonatas in the Italian style with their sophisticated creativity.

Alex Yu and Ka-Wai Yu have grown up playing together in a musical family. Masayuki Maki joined them a decade ago at Indiana University and later at CUNY. The three are now university faculty members and sought-after artists, travelling internationally bringing witty fresh stream of Baroque Music to the audience.
