2023 is the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's First Folio — the volume that is the sole source of many of his plays. It also contains many references to music. We will perform music from the works contained in the First Folio, including The Tempest, Macbeth, and The Winter's Tale.

This project features Collectio Musicorum ("Collection of Music"), one of New York’s premiere ensembles for early music, defined as music written before 1750. But even among early music ensembles, we are different. We perform the music of no other ensemble, exploring the far corners of music history to present to our audiences sounds and words they’ve never heard before. Our goal is to present the best performances of music from the earliest of times.
