An exploration of the music of concerto delle donne providing a stunning musical portrayal of love themes from a 17th-century perspective with works by Francesca Caccini, Luzzasco Luzzaschi, Claudio Monteverdi, and Barbara Strozzi. The program explores themes from sapphic poetry and heavenly admiration to haunting heartbreak and suffering in celebration of the divine feminine.

Madeline Healey, Margaret Carpenter Haigh, and Elisa Sutherland in collaboration for the first time, explore the repertoire of the court of Ferrara.
