Godi, Firençe! - Four Seasons in Trecento Florencetrobar

During the fourteenth century, Florence’s republican society fostered accomplishments in poetry, sculpture, architecture, and a varied musical culture. Trobár explores this milieu in a presentation of madrigals, ballate, caccias, laude, and dance music in a concert organized around the four seasons.

Trobár is a small band of voices and instruments dedicated to bringing medieval music and its stories to modern audiences. The Occitan word trobar, meaning "to find, to create, to invent," encompasses the spirit of discovery and invention that we bring to interpreting medieval music as both performers and scholars.
