274 Concordian DawnThe music found in Guillaume de Machaut's seminal lyric narrative, "Le Remède de Fortune" (fourteenth century) exhibits a range of style drawing from traditions of both the ars antiqua and the ars nova. Machaut's didactic text and beautiful music tell the age-old story of a lover struggling for respite from his lovesick disposition.
