Voice and harp lessons with Zoe Vandermeer

Zoe Vandermeer is a dramatic coloratura soprano and triple harpist and teaches singing, historical and lever harps.

For singers, she provides comprehensive in-depth vocal training and vocal coaching, specializing in baroque, classical, bel canto, as well as contemporary solo and choral repertoire. Zoe is dedicated to helping singers find their real voice, establishing vocal freedom resulting in enhanced artistic expression through developing reliable vocal techniques and observing vocal health. She gives masterclasses in diction, intonation, and ornamentation.

For harpists, Ms. Vandermeer teaches beginning to advanced historical harp and lever harp techniques, ornamentation, music theory, and repertoire. She gives masterclasses in the art of self-accompanying, and a harpist's guide to accompanying singers.

Ms. Vandermeer is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, was named to the Roster of the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism in 2011 and debuted in Carnegie Hall as First Place Winner of the B. Alexander International Vocal Competition in 2014. She has given concerts accompanying her singing on triple harp at the International Festival de Deia Spain, American Harp Society, Glasgow International Early Music Festival, Rio International Harp Festival Brasil, American Swedish Historical Museum Philadelphia, and GEMS Midtown Concert Series. Ms. Vandermeer is a member of the New York Singing Teachers Association, Early Music America, American Harp Society, and Historical Harp Society.
